Unknown in Namibia (Drimia?)

Thanks for your comments Julian, most helpful. I shall try and do some more research.

Here's another picture of a larger example of the white-flowered bulb. Maybe you can see some details you are interested in?

I think the white-flowered bulb is most likely a Drimia species, probably undescribed - but it could just as likely be an undescribed and taxonomically isolated Ornithogalum. The flower shape is common in Drimia but as far as I can tell is unknown in Ornithogalum. It's a bit difficult to tell from your photos, but if the bracts possess a spur at its base and the flowers are short-lived, then it is definitely a Drimia. The only Ornithogalums with even a slightly reflexed perianth have a bold green stripe down the length of each tepal, and nearly all of those species have bright yellow flowers anyway. The same flower shape is very common in Ledebouria, but that genus possesses almost obsolete bracts, minute flowers, and the leaves bear some kind of markings. It definitely isn't a Neopatersonia or a Walleria.

I recently photographed this near Rosh Pinah in southern Namibia. Does anyone know what it is? A genus would be a good start ...

Thanks,
