Origin: Provinces of Coquimbo, O’Higgins and Aconcagua, Chile.
Habitat: From coastal grassland to open hillside meadows. Full sun.
Conservation: T. modesta is in danger of extinction due to habitat destruction.
Cultivation: Bulbs enjoy full sun and sandy soil. Hardy to USDA Zones 9 and 10. Flowering Summer and Autumn.
