Scadoxus puniceus

This plant from the Bathurst district (Albany, near Grahamstown) exhibits a green spath.

Here is a comparison picture of the 2 Scadoxus. Clearly, S. membranceus (to the right) has darker, more leathery leaves and they are slightly undulate and pointed.

I am in love with the summer flowering Scadoxus puniceus. I think it is a beauty!
