Iris mesopotamica

Mt. Hermon

Dr Ori Fragman-Sapir (May 24, 2006)

This species is commonly found in Muslim cemeteries. Wild populations are found in Mt Hermon 1650-1250 m. At the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens we grow it successfully. If irrigated in summer the leaves will remail green, if not they will disappear.
