Iris collettii

Known as 'plateau iris', this miniature is native to Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet, India, Burma, Nepal and Thailand. It grows in sunny dry grasslands on hillsides, at about 1650-3500 m. It has a very short rhizome with swollen roots, fleshy. The leaves are just 10 cm long at flowering time, elongating to 20-35 cm after that. The flower stem short not emerging from the ground. No scent by me.
