Haemanthus deformis

Here is the latest blooming here in Long Beach, Haemanthus deformis. At
this date, I have two in bloom. One other looks like it might bloom also,
but I'm not certain.

Haemanthus deformis grows on the bottom and ledges of cliffs, generally
heavy shade but sometimes found a few metres away from the edge. Grows in
leaf mould/humus. Found in clumps of up to about 10 mature bulbs. The
run-off of the water from the cliff would ensure good water at the roots. A
few hours of late afternoon sun that is mostly filtered. Generally West
facing cliffs.
