Gladiolus saundersii

David Fenwick
Yet again, I'm in need
of some help with an identification. It was meant to be G. dalenii
but obviously it is not, it came with pics from a third party who I don't
know so I'm unable to find out who it even might be. The pics were indeed
of dalenii but this is completely different. Any help will be
of great benefit.
It reaches the same
height as G. dalenii and flowers 2-3 weeks later; it seems quite
hardy here as the corms were planted last November. The segments are very
reflexed indeed if they were flat the flower would measure just over 4
inches (10 cm across), actual size is 6 1/2 cm across. It's photo doesn't
really do it justice for there is tremendous depth to the flower and focusing
is difficult with a standard lens.
Best Wishes,
