Some years ago I submitted an image of what I thought was Gladiolus uysiae. At the time of photographing it in the wild, that is the name I was told. I suspect that this may have been done to discourage "over enthusiastic bulb diggers" that were with us. When I submitted the image, it was suggested that it may have been Gladiolus ceresianus, which I looked into and agreed with.
