Gladiolus (crassifolius?) from Magoebaskloof

Found this growing and flowering in Magoebaskloof yesterday - I assume it is a Gladiolus, can someone please tell me which species?

My guess would be something like a very nice form of Gladiolus crassifolius (which is very variable), but then I am only guessing.
