Freesia 'Shelly'

Freesia /Anomatheca 'Shelly', pic is next to 'Joan Evans' for comparison.

Bred here 2003, second time of flowering and even bigger and better than last year.

Fantastic plant.

Produced by selfing 'East of Eden'. 90% of the hybrids came out the same colour as 'East of Eden', but this one called Freesia 'Shelley', after a friend, and because she too is large, white, single and has a rosey blush; is much larger than laxa 'Joan Evans', and has  better coloured markings. Flower dimensions are 3.5cm x 2.8cm, not bad for a laxa type.
