Eucharis mastersii
Gardeners' Chronicle, September 23, 1899.
E. Mastersii (Bot. Mag., t. 6831) (see fig. 82, p. 241).—This is a much smaller plant, producing leaves 16 inches in length and 5 inches in width. The peduncle is 1 foot high, and bears an umbel of two flowers, each 2 or more inches in length and width. The perianth-limb is quite spreading, the tube has the six yellowish stripes of E. Sanderi; and the staminal cup is small, and toothed. This is a comparatively recent introduction, and has not made its way into gardens to any appreciable extent, nor is it likely to do so when species with a greater number of larger flowers are available. It is by no means an undesirable plant for inclusion in a representative collection.
