Dichelostemma volubile
This species, commonly known as twining brodiaea or snake lily is almost
a vine that twines and winds its way around bushes. Formerly called Brodiaea
volubilis, it is found on rocky slopes and flats in foothill woodland scrub
growing in clay or granite through the Sierra Nevada foothills and the
inner north coast ranges of California. It is best grown in light shade and
can be trained through the branches of shrubs. — Mary Sue Ittner
