Cyrtanthus flammosus is one of the newest discoveries of the
genus in western Cape which looks quite similar to Cyrtanthus elatus
from a quick glance. Cyrtanthus flammosus multiplies quickly
by means of bulblets and seed production and grows well in half-shady
location. At least half of the bulb of this species should be sitting
above the growing medium. I grow my Cyrtanthus flammosus bulbs
in pure sand.
