A bit of a freak event has happened here, Crocosmia 'Morning Light' has decided to produce petaloid segments before finishing its flowering, which is very unusual for this variety. Doubles have been bred in Crocosmia in the past, and these are 'Globe d'or' and a double form of Crocosmia aurea but neither exist in cultivation anymore. At least we can now see what a double may look like.
