A recently described species, growing in N Israel (Golan Heights and Mt Hermon) and Lebanon. It is hysteranthous, blooming in October. At the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens we grow it for the past 10 years in containers. The species is characterized by tessellated flowers and dark anthers.
