Bravoa geminiflora

This was in flower recently. We have grown these 'bulbs' for a number of years. It is from the mountains of Central Mexico and introduced into cultivation in 1838. Described in "The Amaryllideae" Baker & also in the RHS & Bailey "The Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture"

I found it a difficult specimen to photograph
